It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost one year since I first set foot on the grounds of the Adami Tulu School in Ethiopia.
Thanks to an amazing leadership team and the generosity of hundreds of donors like you, giving everything from $10 to $100,000, classroom space has quadrupled and we’re equipping hundreds more students to break the cycle of poverty and build a sustainable future.
Mary Beth and I are headed back there this fall, to introduce some new folks to the vision, get updated photos of all of the children, and look at the landscape of “what’s next.”
But in the mean time, we have some work to do. And we need your help.
When Mary Beth and I traveled there earlier this year, we profiled and photographed the 189 kids enrolled at Adami Tulu School, so we could work on finding sponsors for them.
For just $19 a month (billed via PayPal to your credit card or bank account), each of those kids gets access to an amazing education and two square meals every school day. The amazing in-country team does all of that for less than 62 cents a day!
We’ve found sponsors for 139 of those kids, leaving just 50 without sponsors.
So we’re launching the #Only50Kids campaign today to find a sponsor for every single child at Adami Tulu School.
Here’s one of them.
Habtamu is seven years old. He’s in “Upper Kindergarten” and will be going into first grade next year. (In the brand new classroom you helped to build!)
Sponsoring one of these kids like Habtamu is simple and easy. Best of all, it costs less than 62 cents a day to help a child in Africa break the cycle of poverty, stay together with their family and build a sustainable future of hope.
Let’s get it done!
